He has risen!
Wow. Another year and another reminder of the ultimate sacrifice given by our Lord! As a parent I can't imagine giving up your only son and as a selfish human I can't imagine giving up my life for the sins of the world. Praise God that He is the loving God He is. Again I can't fathom the depths of His love but am quite willing to praise Him and rest in His loving arms...forgiven and saved. God's blessings to ALL this day. I love you!

a big day,..
ah...50...so, it's been a day...a good day, a thought provoking day... I am truly blessed...in so many ways. The Lord has looked after me for 50 years...how He didn't give up on me I don't know. He has been persistent, never giving up and I love HIM for that. Today I have many prayers for miracles...for healing...for the people I love now and for the people that have touched me in the past. I went to a funeral yesterday of a beautiful lady, Betty Hay. She taught me science in 6th grade. Her daughter was my first friend when I moved to Hondo and continued to be my best friend through college...We havn't spent much time together in years and I miss her terribly. I also really missed so many of the beautiful people I went to school with all those many years ago...so many are going through tough times with parents and siblings...it breaks my heart. Mary Jo, you and your family are in my prayers...healing to your brother John. Kim, I love you and will miss your mom terribly...take care of your sweet daddy. I hate that I didn't get to see my sweet extra mom before she passed, I will forever be sorry for that.. My sweet cousin aka sister Tammy, on her birthday (yesterday) her home Ft. Davis got hit by a massive fire. They lost a guest home and many of their friends and loved ones lost everything. I know that she will be a blessing for many of them...but my heart is aching for the whole town right now. There are so many good people that live there..and I pray that they find relief soon. I'm sure they will appreciate any help that any of us can give them.
I enjoyed lunch with my godmother, Aunt Mary...and my awesome 93 yr old grandma I am so totally blessed t o have such beautiful strong women in my life.
Mom fixed a beautiful birthday dinner with all of my favorites. I praise the Lord everyday for birthing me to her. I could never ever have picked a better mom and best friend. My brother was there...I love those babies...so lucky to have them in my life. I just hope that the good Lord continues to find me worthy of such an awesome group of family and friends...it's been a joy reading the birthday wishes from everyone on facebook...I love you all...thanks for a wonderful day...

long time...no blog...
well, it's been awhile since I showed my face around here...Had a lapse in SLEEP, and it knocked me on my bottom...I don't do so well without sleep and it was a long stretch..I can feel it getting better, as a matter fact, I am waiting to go to zumba this morning with miss Lori...so hopefully I will survive :)..
Yesterday morning I played with some of Haley's photos, and a few of mine. I have an old window to put on the mantle that I had wanted some photos in...so I played with some aging, etc of them on photoshop. Very cool...have to share one of Haley's cropped in the size I needed and with a texture added...the photo on it's own is amazing, this printed out looks like a painting...totally cool.
off to Zumba...pray for me...hahaha

Yarny goodness, oh my...
I have been piling up some spinning...love love...so I wanted to share a few photos...I'm feeling awesome these days...on day 10 of my 24 day challenge...can't wait till tomorrow, when all of the fiber part will be over :) not yarny fiber...yucky fiber :) Woke up too early this morning with the song "Footloose" going off in ny head...where did that come from...geez...so I got up and put on my tennies and went for a walk. it was beautiful out this morning...cool breeze...very nice. Yesterday was a great day. Went to church and it was the mass for the youth ACTS retreat...I love seeing young people praise the Lord...and I think the couples that run the retreat are awesome...such a wonderful cause to give your time to, our young people... Then had lunch with Renee and Rodney...awesome meal and company... Home for a bit, then off to the farm with a side detour of buying Poteet strawberries from in front of the bakery...yum. Helped Melissa set up for FamilyRosary night...our first time, really enjoyed it... Blessings today to you all...
