Love this stitch pattern

I love this pattern. Couldn't resist starting another Scrappy Lengthwise Scarf with some leftover Brooks Farm yarn. I had started another shawl with this but didn't have enough yardage. It's beautiful in this stitch and so soft!!! Pattern here

Why is it kids don't pay attention when you want them too, but...

Best toy in the house

I used my christmas money to buy a Keurig this year. I've researched them for several years now and finally bought it. Wish I would have a long time ago. My whole family loves it. It's so easy to use and I don't have all those parts to clean. Favorite k cups right now are green mountain breakfast blend and their French roast. I buy regular and decaf because I have been making half caf in my coffee pot with my wonderful Peet's ground coffee that I order. I love the filter do the Keurig also so I can use my own coffee.

Whew...

We made it through our first Spikers volleyball practice tourney today. It was fun. I'm so glad Ashley is sticking with it after being moved up with the older girls because of her birthday. They are a talented bunch and I think Ashley will be able to learn alot from them.
We had lunch at Olive Garden...yum. Came home and spun up the second bump of Emerald City masham fiber. From Spunky Eclectic the November 2010 club fiber. It was a fun spin but not quite soft enough for me to wear. Thinking maybe a pillow.

The yarn is now out of the sink and hanging to dry!

Happiness is...

two pretty dishcloths...ok, call me weird... Some of you knitters will understand.  I belong to a monthly dishcloth yahoo group and there are two patterns done a month.  This year I decided to try to participate fully and see how many pretty dishcloths I could pile up.  I love using them..have given some as gifts...don't know if they are appreciated or not, but I love them!  This pattern was so much fun, love the 2 color variation and the texture will scrub beautifully...will make more of these.  The designer has a fabulous website...
http://harvestmoonupperroom.blogspot.com/  ...and I've already purchased her latest set of cloths.  Here is the link to the dishcloth group if anyone is interested in playing along... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MonthlyDishcloths/
and here are my two mid month dishcloths...

and here is another something I started last night...Love Steven West's Patterns...this is Akimbo...  click here to find his beautiful designs...

Yum

Last night, headache in hand...I decided to mix up a margarita.
One of our liquor salesmen brought a new product foe me to taste. It is an orange liquor with a tequila base and sweetened with agave nectar instead of sugar. Yummy all by itself so I knew it would make a great margarita.
Add to shaker:
1 part tequila
1 part Agavero
1 part fresh lime juice
Ice
Shake and strain into a martini glass...headache gone!

Mama's always right...

My mom has always said " wash that packaged lettuce!". Me. "why? It says it's washed!".
Got this in an email yesterday. Oh to funny. Guess I'll be listening closer to what my momma says...

Back to the drawing board

At the end of 2010 I bought a sofa and love seat through Craigslist. I was so excited because it's just like the ones mom and Donald have that I used for awhile in the upstairs apartment. Really excited as they cost me 300.00. So I've been looking for fabric. Ordered some and it came in yesterday...don't like it. So have been looking more today and have ordered some samples.

Here are some samples I ordered.

Can't wait for them to get here so I can make a decision. I've found a bizarre area rug that I like and am ready to get moving on this project.

Where am I?

A New Day ...

A late start blogging it, but not living it. I have been blessed...my surgery although difficult getting over has become an amazing blessing. I have found Joy, a new Energy, Peace, a greater Love and Appreciation for my husband,
and more Patience with my children. I can see beyond the morning crazies towards a better day. I still am exhausted by the end of the day but it is a good tired, a fulfilled tired. Thank you Lord for your timing and a chance to live a life of joy. I'd like to get something up on this blog each day, whether it be words or pictures. Thanks to all of you who have put up with my crazies over the years. God's great blessings to you all.
